Well, I don't really know what to say. I am heavier than I have been in months and I am not basically not trying at all with this competition. It is definitely going to be hard to catch up. I am glad to read and support others, but I need to get in the game. It just isn't fair sometimes that I have to exercise sooooo much just to keep from gaining on a regular basis. The idea of eating even less and working out even more is, ugh! I am fearful of injury so I don't want to run or do something high impact, but I think I am going to have to.

If i read the rules right there is no need to catch up. We start with our weight all over again for month 2 prize. if you are scared of working out then dont do it yet. Just work on the eating part of it. I lost my first 15 lbs without working out. I did have weight watchers to help teach me about calories, portion sizes and writing it all down but i know there are things that you can download to your phone to help with those things. ReplyDeleteI agree, who cares about the working out piece for right now. Start with the food. I know it sounds silly, but one thing I realized about each time I have lost weight is that you kind of have to get your stomach (i.e. appetite) to shrink. I thought about how great my eating habits and portion control always is after I am really in the swing of things. I realized its partially due to my stomach/appetite shrinking. Knowing this, I started chipping away at getting my portions down. It really helped. Just focusing on diet alone you could loose so much and then when you feel ready to move your body it will be that much easier with less weight.
ReplyDeleteHope this helps a little. I started small - I changed my lunches to soup and a couple hard boiled eggs. Now I eat less at dinner because my stomach/ appetite is small.
I know how important yoga is to your lively hood and I think that since it makes you feel good and brings you joy, then don't compromise your joy. You may not even need to eat less, but maybe different. I know you have to do a lot of quick things you pick up. I like the idea of making a soup and bringing that with you to work. Grocery shopping is likely going to be something that will improve the outcome of your goals. I know it's not your favorite but it is mine. I seriously have to go a couple times a week. So I can go with you or become your personally shopper ;) xoxoxo

ReplyDeleteYou can go to the gym I go to. Every time you get into your car, suck your butt cheek together. Tight, really tight and ever time you relies your not holding your butt cheeks anymore, tighten up. The bonus is, not only does your butt get better your perineum gets stronger and happier. And just think of the money your saving on gym fees.
